The Girls Lacrosse program at LCC is one of the most prestigious programs in California.

2019 ROSTER.

Coach Rector

Casey Rector was a 4-year member of the NCAA D1 University of Oregon women’s lacrosse program. While at Oregon, Casey was named to the MPSF All Conference-All Tournament Team and Most Inspirational 2005-2009. Casey is originally from San Diego and was named Captain and MVP of the LCC CIF Championship team in 2005. She was a 2x All-American, CIF Player of the Year, North County Times Player of the Year, SD Union Tribune Player of the Year all in 2005. After her 4 year playing career at Oregon, Casey was named an Assistant Coach for the Ducks 2010 Season. Coach Casey also helps coach for West Coast Starz Club Lacrosse as well as the WDNT San Diego team and the Under Armour All-American West team. Under her leadership at LCC, the Mavericks have won FOUR consecutive CIF Championships. Casey was also named Avocado League Coach of the Year in 2012 and All-CIF Coach of the Year in 2013 and 2014. She then went on to win California State Coach of the year in 2015-2016. After that she was named CIF Female Model Coach of the Year in 2016-2017. The following year Casey was named 40 under 40 for the class of 2018 in the Coach & A.D. Magazine. Coach Casey got married in July of 2018 and will be expecting her first child in June of 2019. Coach Casey is looking forward to another great season from the Mavs in 2019!

Coach Wilcox
Lyndsey Wilcox is a local alumnus of LCC, having graduated in 1999. She played four years of lacrosse as a Maverick, and then went on to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where she continued her career as a Mustang. She works locally as an accountant. Somehow Lyndsey finds time to coach the Mustang Junior High Lacrosse Team as well as the Pacific Falcons Lacrosse Team. Lyndsey was named Coach of the Year at LCC in 2009. She helped lead the 2012, 2013, and 2014 teams to three consecutive CIF Championships and like Coach Casey is looking for great things from the 2019 team.

Coach Bianchi
Karen Bianchi is originally from Syracuse, New York. She attended West Genesee High school where she was a member of the 2007 nationally ranked lacrosse program. Karen had undefeated lacrosse seasons all throughout high school, including being a two-time Section and State champion in 2007 and 2008. She then went on to attend SUNY Brockport where she started for all 4 years as a midfielder. While at Brockport, Karen was named to the SUNY-AC All-Tournament Team and an All American in 2011. She was also named First Team All SUNY-AC in 2011 and 2012. Due to a recovering injury into her senior year and interviewing for a new head coach, Karen and her Grad assistant coached their team through their fall ball tournament in 2012. She then moved out to California a few years after graduating and is now a coach for the nationally ranked Pacific Falcons Lacrosse program in the off season. She also couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the well-known La Costa Canyon Lacrosse program and the 2019 season!

Coach Grubb

Bill Grubb feels fortunate to be part of the LCC lacrosse program.  Bill was first a part of the program when his two oldest daughters played at LCC from 2011-15 and combined for 6 CIF Championships Under Coach Casey. Bill began volunteering to help Casey with the girls shooting and scoring in 2015.  Bill grew up playing & loving lacrosse in Maryland, and moved to Northern California in high school only to find no lacrosse in NorCal High School. Fortunately, Bill matriculated to Cal, where they had a club team. Bill was 2X team captain and two-time MVP of the Bears.  After one year helping coach at Cal, Bill headed up the Men’s Lacrosse Club at Santa Clara University. Bill has been married to his wife Leslie Grubb for 27 years and counting, and the two have 5 children: Bridget, Briana, Billy, Keelin and Fiona. Upon choosing to relocate to Carlsbad in 2006, the Grubb family began lacrosse in Adrenaline and Mustang Lacrosse. Bill first started coaching the boys in Adrenaline in 2007, and also began coaching the Mustang Boys and Girls in 2010, and still helps the Mustang girls today. Bill has also coached LCYO baseball, Carlsbad & NJB Basketball, St. John’s Girls Volleyball, and was even a Coach of the Year in 2006 for Carlsbad Lightning Soccer. Bill loves helping the girls get to be the very best players they can possibly be!

Coach Caitlin

Coach Caitlin graduated LCC in 2011, after playing four years of lacrosse with the Mavericks. She then went to play club lacrosse at USD for three years, which is where she graduated with a degree in Communication and Marketing. Caitlin started to teach yoga at Corepower Yoga in college, and is now an E RYT 200 hour certified instructor. Teaching yoga and leading multiple teacher trainings for three years led her to go back to school for her Teaching Credential and Masters in Education. Coach Caitlin is now an English teacher at LCC, Head JV Field hockey coach, and group fitness instructor on the side. She is so excited to be back with the Mavericks for another season coaching alongside an incredible staff at the very place she learned to play!
