The Girls Lacrosse program at LCC is one of the most prestigious programs in California.

Spring Break is April 5-9th. No school but both teams we will be having practice from 9-11am on Friday 4/9 and Saturday 4/10






Coach Belitz

Casey Belitz was a 4-year member of the NCAA D1 University of Oregon women’s lacrosse program. While at Oregon, Casey was named to the MPSF All Conference-All Tournament Team and Most Inspirational 2005-2009. Casey is originally from San Diego and was named Captain and MVP of the LCC CIF Championship team in 2005. She was a 2x All-American, CIF Player of the Year, North County Times Player of the Year, SD Union Tribune Player of the Year all in 2005. After her 4 year playing career at Oregon, Casey was named an Assistant Coach for the Ducks 2010 Season. Coach Casey also helps coach for West Coast Starz Club Lacrosse as well as the WDNT San Diego team and the Under Armour All-American West team. Under her leadership at LCC, the Mavericks have won FOUR consecutive CIF Championships. Casey was also named Avocado League Coach of the Year in 2012 and All-CIF Coach of the Year in 2013 and 2014. She then went on to win California State Coach of the year in 2015-2016. After that she was named CIF Female Model Coach of the Year in 2016-2017. The following year Casey was named 40 under 40 for the class of 2018 in the Coach & A.D. Magazine. Coach Casey was married in July of 2018 and had her first child, Tatum, in 2019 and is expecting baby #2 in Spring of 2021! Coach Casey is looking forward to another great season from the Mavs in 2021!​


Coach Carlyle


Karen Carlyle is originally from Syracuse, New York. She attended West Genesee High school where she was a member of the 2007 nationally ranked lacrosse program. Karen had undefeated lacrosse seasons all throughout high school, including being a two-time Section and State champion in 2007 and 2008. She then went on to attend SUNY Brockport where she started for all 4 years as a midfielder. While at Brockport, Karen was named to the SUNY-AC All-Tournament Team and an All American in 2011. She was also named First Team All SUNY-AC in 2011 and 2012. Due to a recovering injury into her senior year and interviewing for a new head coach, Karen and her Grad assistant coached their team through their fall ball tournament in 2012. She then moved out to California a few years after graduating and started coaching with the nationally ranked Pacific Falcons Lacrosse program in the off season. She started coaching for La Costa Canyon on the Junior Varsity team in 2015. This will be Karen’s 4th year with the Varsity program and couldn’t be more excited for the 2021 season!

Coach Jill


Jill Haight was a 4-year letter winner of the NCAA D1 San Diego State University women’s lacrosse program.  She graduated in May, 2019 with an Economics degree.  While at SDSU, Jill helped the Aztecs win back to back MPSF conference championships in 2018 and 2019.  She was named to the MPSF All Conference team in 2018 and 2019 and the MPSF all-tournament team in 2018.  Jill holds the program record for single season draw controls, as well as the single game draw control record.  She also sits third highest in career assists at SDSU.  Originally from Milton, GA, where she graduated from Cambridge High  in 2015, Jill was a 3 year captain, 2x first team All American, 3x first team Georgia all state, and the 2015 female student athlete of the year.  Jill has coached locally with the club team West Coast Starz, as well as the Georgia club team Eagle Stix.  She currently works full time at Meketa Investment Group as a Marketing Coordinator and is living in Encinitas with her dog, Maverick!  Coach Jill is excited about working with such a talented group during her first season as a Maverick!

Coach Caitlin


Coach Caitlin Solomon graduated LCC in 2011, after playing four years of lacrosse with the Mavericks. She then went to play club lacrosse at USD for three years, which is where she graduated with a degree in Communication and Marketing. Caitlin started to teach yoga at Corepower Yoga in college, and is now an E RYT 200 hour certified instructor. Teaching yoga and leading multiple teacher trainings for three years led her to go back to school for her Teaching Credential and Masters in Education. Coach Caitlin is now an English teacher at LCC, Head JV Field hockey coach, and group fitness instructor on the side. She is so excited to be back with the Mavericks for another season coaching alongside an incredible staff at the very place she learned to play!

Coach Wilcox


Lyndsey Wilcox is a local alumnus of LCC, having graduated in 1999. She played four years of lacrosse as a Maverick, and then went on to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where she continued her career as a Mustang. She works locally as an accountant. Somehow Lyndsey finds time to coach the Mustang Junior High Lacrosse Team as well as the Pacific Falcons Lacrosse Team. Lyndsey was named Coach of the Year at LCC in 2009. She helped lead the 2012, 2013, and 2014 teams to three consecutive CIF Championships and is looking for great things from the 2021 team.
